COMMERCIALISATION OF INVENTION

Entruss has been an active partner in the commercialisation of three products for defence i.ENTRAP and ii.ENFLEX iii.McVest (see appended brochures) with inventors from the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, UKM, with other partners.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT: FINDING ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS

  • Entruss Ventures Sdn Bhd (EVSB) has partnered with Amir Kabir University of Technology (AUT) Tehran, Iran through Dr. Hamid Omidvar from the Faculty of Engineering and an industrial partner Turbo Tech, represented by Mr. Hiwa Khaledi to jointly develop and manufacture a swirler component. Turbo Tech is from the Shamsabad Industrial Zone. The three partners signed an MOU to facilitate this venture in Jan 2020.

  • Prof Wan Mohtar, the EVSB expert on fermentation technology and wastewater treatment has been providing service to several glove manufacturing plants in Indonesia (Sumatra) and Malaysia to design effluent treatment systems.  An example of this successful venture in Malaysia was with Perusahaan Intan Emas at Branang Malaysia. Prof Mohtar had very successful partnerships in Medan, acting as expert consultant to Pt Buana Multicopra, Pt mandiri Inti Buana and Pt.Mahakaya Inti Buana.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT: PROVIDING MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS

How to live life in a sustainable way is the probing question of the millennium. As the world faces depletion of natural resources, all economic enterprise of the world hinges on a important criteria-sustainability. Prof Wan Mohtar an EVSB expert provides solutions to local small self- owning farmers how to grow rice, their staple food in a sustainable way, providing organic pesticides and manure. The Green Revolution and its philosophy of cultivation based on chemicals, big international agricultural companies plus international banking has wreaked havoc not only on traditional ecologies but also on health and sovereignty. The philosophy of SRI agriculture reinforces the famous adage of Schumacher; Small is Beautiful. Prof Mohtar and colleagues have successfully introduced farmers to SRI agriculture in Kelantan, Kedah.

COMMISIONED WRITING PROJECTS

EVSB has successfully collaborated with SPANCO Sdn Bhd, a company specialising in providing transport service to agencies has commissioned EVSB expert, Prof Che Husna to write and research their exclusive year calendar. For 2019, Prof Husna researched and provided materials for their Year Calendar titled Warisan Songket (Our Songket Heritage). For the 2020 Year Calendar, Prof Husna researched and provided materials for SPANCO titled Warisan Loyang (Our Brass Heritage). Besides producing these calendars, SPANCO has condensed the write-up and published the articles in their corporate magazine Prihatin.
